Tank Spring/Summer 2016 Editorial – Neo Baroque
Stylist: Nobuko Tannawa
Photographer: Eloise Parry
I had the pleasure for shooting for TANK Magazine in December. I absolutely loved it, shot entirely on film by Eloise Perry, the set was moveable and after each image the large wooden cut outs were moved around.
There was a story being played out although I’ve been tending to do quite masculine androgynous work, in this editorial story I was the feminine, strong lady almost royal with high necklines and regal designs. My hair curled in a style reminiscent of the Victorian era, I looked every bit the modern Victorian woman with a powerful independent rebellious twist. I had blush that was painted from my cheekbone to my nose, no eyeliner (I already have big enough eyes!), clear gloss on my lips and brushed eyebrows. My comrad on the shoot was Sue and she had a very different look, futuristic, edgy and strange. It was this wonderful hybrid mix of past, present and future.
The outfits I was wearing was a cross between vintage pieces and SS16 pieces. I had the pleasure of wearing Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Max Mara, Alexander McQueen (again!), a range of new young designers with interesting pieces. I also had the pleasure of wearing these two amazing full outfits from Louis Vuitton and Celine (below).
